Château du Doux
Château du Doux is a unique French Château Wedding venue overlooking the Dordogne Valley. Built between 1904 & 1906 and designed by one of the world’s leading 20th Century architects Jean-Louis Pascal, the Château boasts wonderful wood panelled function rooms, a Bridal Apartment, 17 ensuite bedrooms, 8 self-catering apartments (accommodating up to 70 on site) as well as an enormous, half an Olympic size, swimming pool. The Young family (Abbie, Clive, Karen & Ross) fell in love with the Château and the magnificent region 12 years ago. Since then they have invested all of their time, energy and love into renovating this spectacular building.

It has taken us a while to write this as we just didn’t know how to summarise such an incredible weekend into just one paragraph! Here goes…Ant and I got married on April 2nd, 2022. We were the first wedding of the season and the first wedding Abbie, Clive and Karen hosted since they had been closed over the pandemic…and wow, what a way to start the season! We were so excited to try out the new facilities for the first time and the family couldn’t have done enough for us right from the beginning. It was all we dreamed of and more. We feel like we have found extended family at Chateau Du Doux, with Abbie, Clive and Karen making our wedding weekend a truly magical experience. It really is an incredible stunning wedding venue and all the hard work the family have put into the venue over the pandemic whilst the Chateau had to close really shows. It is truly exquisite. One of the first things that drew us in to Chateau Du Doux was the fact that we were able to host all our guests at the venue itself, and what is immediately noticeable is the attention to detail in every room, with them all being decorated to such a high standard making everyone feel at home over the weekend. I cannot recommend a wedding at Chateau Du Doux highly enough and I wish we could relive it all over again! Xxx

I don’t even know where to start!!! 100% got my dream wedding because of the AMAZING family that run this incredible venue. We came from Ireland, randomly came across this venue and it simply blew us away. The gorgeous modern bedrooms, the stunning scenery, the beautiful building and surroundings, everything!! The family took us into their home with the warmest of welcomes. If you want a stress-free, perfect wedding there really is no other place like it. It’s something out of a fairy-tale. Nestled on top of a mountain with a gorgeous pool! Heaven!! Thank you for giving us and our family and friends the most magical week of our lives. I’ll never forget it xxx

Elliot and I got married on the 18th August 2018. The owners of the chateau, Clive, Karen and Abbie were so helpful from day 1. They are truly the nicest, kindest people ever! The Chateau is just magical. Just like what you see in the fairy-tale. We had the best wedding and best time! All our guests were so impressed with the chateau and the location.
